Updated 2026-11-08. Facts below were checked on each shop's own website on 8 November 2026. Storytiles is our shop, and we say so wherever it appears.
How we chose
- Ready-made art you can order online, not just a print service, unless it's the best way to print your own artwork.
- Price in rand you can see before you pay, including delivery where the shop publishes it.
- Delivery anywhere in South Africa, with production and delivery times the shop states.
- How it hangs: nails, hooks or peel-and-stick. This matters a lot if you rent.
- Honest trade-offs: every option below has one.
1. Storytiles framed art prints and art sets (our shop)
What it is: 7,000+ framed art prints in our art shop, from Monet and Van Gogh to botanical, abstract, beach, kids and typography, plus 560+ curated art sets of two to five prints that are designed to hang together. Sizes run from 21×21 cm to 50×70 cm, in black, white or wood frames, with or without a mat.
Who it suits: renters, and anyone who wants a matching set without measuring and drilling. Every print peels and sticks to a smooth painted wall, and you can move it later.
Price: shown on each print. Delivery is free anywhere in South Africa. Prints are made in Cape Town in 2-3 business days and delivered in 3-5.
Downside: the biggest print is 50×70 cm, so it isn't the pick for one huge statement canvas. The adhesive needs smooth paint, so test first on face brick or rough plaster.

What it is: a Durban canvas printer (Prospecton) that sells ready-made "Life Style" and kids' nursery canvases alongside photo canvas, split canvas and collages.
Who it suits: anyone after big canvas at a low price.
Price: on 8 November 2026, an A2 canvas with a floating frame was R399.99 on sale (R799.99 regular), and a 3 × A4 canvas combo was R199.
Delivery: R149 door to door, from R99 to a Pargo point, or free collection in Durban. Production takes 1-10 working days, then 1-4 for delivery.
Downside: delivery is extra, and canvas needs a nail or hook for each piece.
3. Canvas & More
What it is: a South African canvas shop with ready-made "Canvas Décor Art", Christian canvases and kids' room wall art, plus canvas collages and photo canvas.
Who it suits: buyers who want a multi-piece canvas set at combo prices. Cape Town customers can also book its picture-hanging installation service.
Price: on 8 November 2026, a 3-piece large canvas trio was R579.99 on sale, and a set of three A3 canvases with floating outer frames was R1,499.99.
Downside: we couldn't find published delivery rates or times on its site, so check them at checkout.
4. Orms Print Room
What it is: a Cape Town print lab at 66 Roeland Street. It prints your own artwork or photographs on canvas, in standard or custom sizes. It doesn't sell ready-made art.
Who it suits: artists, photographers and anyone with a digital artwork they've bought or made, who wants a quality canvas.
Price: a 30×30 cm canvas, stretched and ready to hang, was R414 on 8 November 2026. The smallest size, 20×20 cm, was R360.
Downside: you need your own image, production takes 5-7 working days, and delivery is arranged when you order rather than shown upfront.
5. Takealot marketplace sellers
What it is: The well-known local online marketplace. A search for wall art brings up canvas sets, unframed A3 prints, metal wall décor and local designs such as protea prints and Springbok posters, from many independent sellers.
Who it suits: bargain hunters who want lots of choice and quick delivery. Many items show stock in Cape Town, Durban or Johannesburg warehouses.
Price: varies widely by seller. Compare listings on the day.
Downside: quality is uneven. Read the reviews and check whether a print is framed: many cheaper listings are "A3 Unframed".

Frequently asked questions
Where can I buy wall art online in South Africa?
For framed art prints, Storytiles (our shop) has 7,000+ designs and 560+ matching sets with free delivery. For canvas, NetCanvas (Durban) and Canvas & More sell ready-made canvas décor and combo sets. Orms Print Room in Cape Town prints your own artwork on canvas. Takealot has the widest range from many marketplace sellers.
Is canvas or a framed print better for wall art?
Canvas has no glass and no glare and suits big, painterly pieces. A framed print keeps fine detail sharp and looks more like a gallery. Both normally need a nail. Framed peel-and-stick prints are the renter-friendly middle ground.
How much does wall art cost in South Africa?
On 8 November 2026: a 3 × A4 canvas combo was R199 on sale at NetCanvas, a 30×30 cm ready-to-hang canvas from Orms Print Room was R414, and a set of three A3 canvases with floating frames was R1,499.99 at Canvas & More. Storytiles shows the live price of every print, in sizes from 21×21 cm to 50×70 cm, with delivery included.
Can I hang wall art without nails in a rental?
Yes, on smooth painted walls. Storytiles art prints peel and stick and come off without marks. For canvas, use adhesive picture strips rated for its weight. Avoid freshly painted walls (wait 7 days) and steamy bathrooms.
How long does wall art delivery take in South Africa?
Storytiles makes prints in Cape Town in 2-3 business days and delivers free in 3-5 business days. NetCanvas quotes 1-10 working days for production plus 1-4 for delivery. Orms lists 5-7 working days to make a canvas.
